April is coming soon! oh mans! exams are round the corner :/
I started a blog! all over again! I want to pen down every single one of my school days for the remaining of my year 6 life! Theres going to be nothing too personal though! that's somewhere else! (:
- Our match against Meridian Junior College this friday was postponed! I'm not sure why, and i'm not sure if i'm supposed to be happy or sad! I'm really looking forward to playing against them! But my back is still sore thanks to the runs on monday. I believe this will be a regular occurance sadly): I'm just going to have to work around it!
oh yes! today during ACE, Mr Allan showed my college essay to everyone where. Oh god. I suddenly remembered how it felt to be embarassed LOL. siannn. I left before he could talk about it though! I left for class and joined them for a fun mentoring session =D
while we're at it! on monday, the juniors had some form of an argument!
Apparently Gerald(G) was unhappy Seong Kyu(SK) and his rough plays during training and shouted to him halfway through training to stop it. SK reacted by shouting a the top of his voice and it became a shouting match ._.
I believe i'm supposed to deal with this. Well hes not the first anyway. There was Ahmed, Me, Yong Kiat. however, as egoistic as this may sound, i believe all 3 of us had some sort of substance to back ourselves up. Thats the same reason why ahmed could miss all the trainings in the world and still make it into the first team. Same reason why Yong Kiat is in the first 11. Same reason why even though i had major conflicts with coach, i still managed to become captain.
However with SK, i believe he doesn't realize the fact that the only reason he's good is because he has no competitors in his year. Well, no one mayB except Kai Fong and the Kim guy though. Both of which i rate higher than SK. Like what they say "SK is like ahmed, without the skills." damn that got me laughing hahas.
What should i do? Honestly i don't see anything wrong with being rough during training. I personally love it when training matches gets intense. Like when vivek gets fouled by siong gim and react angrily, when i lose a ball to kang raye and i hate it, when yong kiat lets in a soft goal etc. This all causes us to become "angry" and become very serious. This can only raise up the level of training. Yet at the same time, most of us know what happens on the field stays there. Thats why the 4 of us are still good friends =D
I personally believe i should talk to both G and SK. First i need to make it clear to G that as long as the challanges made by SK is within the rules of the game, it should be perfectly fine. Its just another form of preparation against your opponents who probably couldn't care less if you lost a tooth or a leg in a challenge.
Secondly, i need to let SK know that the team isn't built around him. I need him to know that he has a long way to go before he reaches any of our level. His work rate, stamina, speed, decision making, etc etc. All needs work.
As harsh as this may sound, amongst my juniors, the only ones i can see reaching the standards of me/sg/viv/kr or mok/chong/vijay/med/andre or kaywee/mitch is Yu fong, Jun Wei, Shuen, dominique and hashir.
Dom needs to be able to decide faster, take less time on the ball and play with more confidence.
Hashir needs to be fitter and have a better right leg to allow the ball to cover more distance.
Shuen needs to mature- fast.
Jun Wei needs to turn up for more training (:
and yufong is probably already there. Hes a player we acknowledge, on days that he turs up at least. We're not sure if one day we'll see a mad dog running down the left flank tormenting defenders, or him turning up in his PJs and playing a lone striker with no contributions.
Small nic, roy, benji, kaifong, kim, SK, matthew all probably has an outside chance of making it, but that'll take quite alot of effort on their part and i wouldn't excatly put my money on them(:
Anyway, i think i want to sleep soon! I'll write more soon!
